Harvey Wins ELS Event at Devils Bowl;

West Haven, VT - The Empire Lightning Sprints made their final trek of the season to Vermont and the Devils Bowl Speedway Sunday evening. A total of 21 winged warriors made the trip to the northern most stop on their inaugural schedule.
Don Harvey piloted his number 44 machine to the win over some stout competition. The veteran driver started the 20 lap feature from the ninth position and quickly set his sights on the lead. By the races half way point he was in the lead and was able to cruise home for the victory.
Tenth place starter Ralph Utter brought the Ken Latour owned machine home second in what may be the combinations final event together as Latour is relocating to South Carolina. Early lead challenger Doug Norrie crossed the finish line fourth however was moved to third after original third place finisher Mike Kiser failed to make weight. Justin Phillips and John Virgilio completed the top five.
The heat races were claimed by Norrie, Phillips and Harvey. Doug Norrie continues to lead the standings in the chase for the inaugural Empire Lightning Sprints championship.
