CNYMS Looses to Mother Nature Once Again.
With cars already in the pit area at Cayuga County this past Sunday evening and the track looked to be in perfect shape, all fans and drivers alike were looking forward to some fast and furious action with the Mini Sprints of the A-Verdi Storage Containers 2008 tour on the high banks at Weedsport. At 6:30 that is where it all changed due to Mother Nature shaking her angry fist at the racers once again. Officials were forced to pull the plug on the event postponing yet another weekend of racing for the CNYMS teams.
The tour will come back to Cayuga County on July 27th with the big sprint show sponsored by A-Verdi Storage Containers and the CNYMS teams will under card to their big brothers, the 360 sprints of the ASCS Patriot tour. The June 29th date will not be made up according to Dirt Car GM Jack Deery.
The next road show for the CNYMS teams will be at Devilís Bowl Speedway in two weeks on Sunday July 13th. With the visit to the picturesque valley setting of the CVRA owned facility it marks the only time sprint cars come to the great state of Vermont. This visit always produces a great turn out of sprint cars and fans alike.
