Whip City Home Track Challenge
Sodus, NY - The time has come for the first annual A-Verdi Storage Containers CNYMS / Whip City Home Track Challenge presented in part by Haskell Motorsports, K&S Powersports, and Broderick Motorsports along with many other supporting contributors to the program.
Dave Haskell owner of Haskell Motorsports has offered a cash incentive to the Accord Speedway Home Track Mini Sprints to come out to the Whip for the show. A solid field of the potent CNYMS Mini Sprints is expected this coming Saturday Sept. 8th. With the gates opening at 12:30 with the heats going off at 4:00.
Expected competitors including the championship contenders Don Harvey III and the Brookfield Bullet, Jimmy “Bubba” Broderick as well as the father son contingent of Art and Mike Kiser, young Justin Phillips as well as past champions Matt & Doug Norrie. Whip City’s most recent winner and current CNYMS rookie candidate Sierra Lister along with her challenger for the rookie crown Brian Pomponio to name a few.
This program will be sanctioned by CNYMS, Inc. a Mike Emhof Motorsports company with a few exceptions for the home track format. The specifications provided in the CNYMS 2007 Rules Book will be the guideline with the following exceptions. This show will have an open tire rule as well as the weight program of 915 lbs for 1000cc bore & stroke motors and other motors up to a max of 1202 will have to cross the scales at 925 lbs. The Whip City muffler rule will be in effect and the use of the RaceCeiver radios at 454.000 will be mandatory. Radios will be available for rental for $25.00 from Haskell Motorsports.
