Harvey Dominates at Thunder Alley for Win Five
Don Harvey II had his Henchcraft on rails this past Friday night at Caprara’s Thunder Alley Speedpark. It was a perfect night for the current A-Verdi Storage Containers / CNYMS tour point leader. “We were close to perfect with the car tonight” stated Harvey in victory lane.
The 44 team drew the pole twice in the evening starting on the front row the whole program and did not disappoint his fans with wins in everything he did on the night. His heat win was a straight away ahead of second place finisher Mike Kiser and the same finish for the A Main except Bubba Broderick finished just ahead of Mike Kiser in the “A”. From the drop of Matt Burdick’s green the fans knew is was Harvey’s night and the race would be for second which was a good one.
Mike Kiser and Bubba Broderick from 5th and 6th would catch the 21 of Jared Fink by lap 3. Joining in a couple of laps later would be the 52L of recent tour winner Lampron and the 77H or Greg Hoffman. Current Rookie Points leader, Joe Burkert was having the best run of his young career when on lap 14 his power plant went up in smoke. This would close up the front and see if anyone could stay with Harvey. With the green in the air the front runner pulled away with Broderick getting around Kiser for 2nd. Rounding out the top ten was Fink in 4th, Lampron taking 5th G. Hoffman 6th, Tanner moving to 7th, the P13 of Sehn having a solid 8th place run, Dennis Fink in 9th and Fred Hoffman 10th..
The Broderick Motorsports $50.00 Hard Charger award stayed at home with Bubba Broderick moving up through the field, Norman Beaudrew picks up the $25.00 Dry Wash N Guard Waterless Car wash awards, Lampron picks up the Ultimate Wings $25.00 certificate and Spectro Oils award went to Greg Hoffman.
