CNYMS Adjusts Schedule on A-Verdi Storage Containers Tour
“The weather patterns in the East this season has made for some interesting schedule changes for all of the tracks and sanctions to say the least, but everyone is working together and making it all work out. Unfortunately, not all shows will be made up on the schedule due to overwhelming amount of wash outs” stated owner Mike Emhof
In a joint announcement coming from Bruce Richards with CVRA and Mike Emhof of CNYMS, the twice rained out event at Albany Saratoga will be run on Friday August 25, 2006. The same program will meet the fans and teams with double feature night when CNYMS returns. The 18 cars signed in for June 2nd show will run an "A" after hot laps that night and then it will be a full show following for all competitors.
The New Afton Speedway and CNYMS has really been a tough program in 2006. Emhof exclaimed, “Loosing the first 4 shows with Pat & Janet Jordan this year has been just unbelievable!” “We finally got a show in this past Friday night and it was a great show!” This coming Tuesday August 15th we will run the make up for the Summer Slam 2 program with the 1200cc Mini Sprints of CNYMS highlighting a $1000.00 to win affair which will also provide a guaranteed starting spot for the 1st Annual Short Track Super Nationals to be held October 6th & 7th at The New Afton Speedway.
Fulton Speedway along with Central New York Mini Sprints were not as fortunate with re-scheduling. The lost show back on July 22nd will not be made up in 2006. “We looked at every possible situation and just could not find a date that fit both organizations” commented Fulton’s Bob Connolly,”we look forward to working with the Central New York based touring series in the future.”
CNYMS thanks all of their marketing partners for making this series the premier mini sprint organization in the Northeast. A-Verdi Storage Containers, Suzuki Motors of America and Jack Stones Suzuki, Hoffman Home Transport, Ultimate Wings, Haskell Motorsports, Scott VanAtter and Waterless Car Wash, Broderick Motorsports, Team 22 Racing, & Mike Emhof Motorsports, Inc.
