Broderick Claims Victory at Cayuga County

Sodus, NY – It was a cool night at the Center Piece of Dirt Motorsports and that had the winged warriors of the A-Verdi Storage Containers CNYMS tour flying around the tacky high banked 3/8 mile. Young Bubba Broderick was anything but cool this night however, as he was on the other end of the spectrum running hot on the high side to win both his heat and his first ever CNYMS “A”-Main.

It was no give me on this night as the front row for the start of the “A was made up with a father son team of Jamie and Art Kiser followed by Tomlinson and C. Vanburen. Previous night’s winner Hench along with Harvey and Broderick would have to come from further back.

It took a bit to get started as the P13 or Sehn got loose and spun in 1 & 2 collecting young Ricky Donovan in the process. Under caution Fink in the 21 ducked into the pits to put a plug wire on and restarted in the rear of the field. On the restart it was J. Kiser out front with several cars closing fast. Art Kiser got high coming off four with 3 laps in nearly hitting the wall coming across the track in front of several fast cars stopping low on the infield. The race stayed green until Kiser would pull his mount up to the side of the track forcing a yellow. Broderick would be 2nd, Hench 3rd and Harvey 4th. Coming from tail Emhof and Fink were cutting through traffic moving into the top 10.

When the green flew that was the time for Broderick to go. He went by Kiser on the high side and never looked back. Lapped traffic did come into play with the young gun getting into the back of the 14-Burkert bring yet another yellow. A lap later Broderick’s front wing blew off in 1 & 2 forcing the final yellow for debris. The final 4 laps were fast and furious. With a tight handling 5 car the youngster hung on for win.

Picking up the Broderick Motorsports $50.00 Hard Charger award was Emhof coming from the back passing 12 cars to finish 5th. Broderick picks up the $25.00 Dry Wash N Guard Waterless Car wash awards, Tanner picks up the Ultimate Wings $25.00 certificate and Spectro Oils award went to Jamie Kiser.
